Android : Openfilechooser not working in 4.4.Is there any other alternate solution?

I need to choose a file from gallery and upload it in server.My application work fine till 4.3 using openfilechooser.but it does not work in above 4.3 versions.Is there any other work around. Can I use cordova webview of phonegap as a plugin for android native app?. If possible please suggest the way to solve this problem?
