Android : cordova push plugin customize notification

I am using the cordova push plugin https://github.com/phonegap-build/PushPlugin

Is it possible to customize the notification? If so where do I customize it? I know that there is an alerts plugin for cordova and I don't mind reviewing the docs there, but I don't know where in my current project is the html or the code to create the current notification is being.Is there some url that points to the current notifications template?
