This may seem a very basic question but I couldn't find a bang on answer on the internet.
I develop software solutions in the asp.net and android framework. Now in order to sell the application I need to incorporate 128-bit encryption in the data travelling from the database to the software solution and vice-versa. How do I accomplish this?
Do I need to lease out a SSL or can I implement it myself through my code? Or does my customer(application will be hosted on the customers' servers) need to buy encryption standards? Please explain me the norm which is followed by the developers in the market.
