Android : How to "restart" an HTML5 Web App

I've build an Web App for votings and made it work like an app on iOS and Android (with Chrome function: "save to homescreen").

All works fine on my iPad test device, starting the app, navigate around, close the app. Start again on the defined starting point.

But with Android, the app does not "restart", but goes to the latest saved state. It's a dead end page.

How can I forece the app to restart? Checking URL with JavaScript and reload would be a solution, is there a better one?

Example:

http://app.tomvote.com/IFA (voting for current International Fair in Berlin)

Save to homescreen with Chrome on android, vote, save. Close the app, restart. It should point to app.tomvote.com/IFA again, but it loads the latest state.
