Android : How to block auto-hide of icons on Google's mobile site

on Sunday, November 2, 2014

I'm sorry if I'm directing this to the wrong people but if you can help I'd really appreciate it.

When I log into my email on the google chrome android browser there are a series of icons at the top of the page (google+, gmail, calendar, web). Each icon has a tab beneath it stating its name.

That'd all fine and dandy but when I tap on an email, instead of opening the email it shifts my whole screen upwards and screws with where I am tapping (I believe the purpose is to hide those icons). I presume this is done with anchors, but i couldn't say for sure. If you folks know how I can block this terribly frustrating feature I'd be might appreciative.

Thanks!
