Android : Android retrieve values into a listview from database using condition

i want an android program that when we press on a button it should retreive the data using a condition(for eg here i would like to insert an edittext ,so values should retrieve that matches to edit text value) from sqlite database and should show them in listview ,can any one help me please..thank you in advance..
