Android : How to start a new activity or Pop up if possilble,when a condition is satisfied?

Is it possible using "intent" without using button if yes plz help..iv tried and it wont work ..

i just wanted to be simple Example code:

if (condition)
   start another activity or popUp window;
else
   start another activity or popUp window;
