Android : zero byte files created on SD card in Android

on Wednesday, March 25, 2015

I have a MotoG Android phone, with SD card.

I have been using ES Explorer to view /storage/sdcard1/

I noticed it was very slow to load and navigate through this folder, as over time more than 12000 0.00b files had been created, with names like: 2e5061ab-4479-495b-9e90ee8a6aae5d10.

I moved these all to a subfolder to clear them out of the way. Since then, some new files have been created. 7 new files have been created in the last 2 hours.

I do not know what is causing these files to be created, and how to stop it. Can anyone help?
