Android : how to make jfeinstein10 Sliding Menu overlap the main background screen

I am using https://github.com/jfeinstein10/SlidingMenu for creating sliding menu in android .but When i open the sliding menu it also sliding background screen while i need to overlap the sliding bar on background screen.

is there any way to fix the position of main screen.
