I assume that when a device registers with a Platform Notification Service for push notifications (e.g. Google Cloud Messaging) that the handle (registration ID) it receives will expire after a certain duration.
Therefore an app that hasn't been launched for a while will no longer receive notifications (correct me if I'm wrong).
Is there a best practice for dealing with this scenario? Or are you restricted to requesting a new handle every time your app starts up?
