Android : Moving an item (button, image) easily, without long click

I would like to develop simple game based on moving an items (could be buttons, images, doesn't really matter). The problem is it can't be done with long click and OnDragListener after. Single click must be sufficient. There will be few items, 3-6. I tried to search for some examples but I didn't found anything useful for me. If you just can give me some simple examples I would be grateful. It is probably very simple, but still I'm stuck ;(
