System apps reside in system/app and third party user apps in data/app.On my tablet youtube is a system app.It works fine when I launch from the launcher.
Using a file manager app, I goto system/app and click on youtube.apk.Device pops up the install dialog and I click ok.Now,when I goto data/app folder I see that youtube's apk is present here as well.
1) Isn't this strange? Since youtube is a system/app shouldn't it reside in system/app and not in data/app(even when I install it again from the system/app folder) ?
Moreover, when I delete the youtube apk from data/app and then goto my launcher and click on youtube icon, the app fails to launch with a message 'Unfortunately,YouTube has stopped.'
2) Why is this happening and why is it behaving like this?
Kindly clear the above two doubts.
