My Wi-Fi direct is not able to act as G0 in Android ICS 4.0.4. I read that when softap combined with Wi-Fi P2P, it allows the device to be the Group Owner else it will possess only client capabilities which is working for me.
So I made changes in the softApController.cpp file and thus the hotspot feature is working and the hostapd deamon in running in that instance.
But when I enable the Wi-Fi Direct the hotspot operation is stopped and the hostapd halts.
Is there any other way to make hostapd run for wifi direct? I initiated the hostapd service in init.rc file but no use.
Any help ?
